Shuttle-type warehouses consist of motorized carts located on each level of the shelving, along with elevators and transport systems to the picking or order preparation stations.
The shuttles collect products and transport them to the elevators. These elevators pick up the box or container from the shuttle and deposit it onto the transport systems, which are responsible for delivering them to the operator who requested the product.
These warehouses are controlled by a WMS (Warehouse Management System) that is responsible for locating and subsequently retrieving products, optimizing routes and thus minimizing preparation or picking times.
